Back on Track

Okay, time to get back on track.

I actually did this a couple days ago but neglected to post it, so here it is; an observation session from Sunday.

It's the beginning of November, which serendipitously happens to be a Sunday. The weather is still remarkable; it's sunny but very cool. I'm in front of a Resona ATM, between the grocery store and a bike shop. It's late morning. People are passing by occasionally, but not that often. There aer a lot of cars passing behind me, though. It's quiet; I just overhear one conversation to my right. Looking over, I see it's between a bike shop employee and a middle-aged lady. I can't quite hear, but it seems to be about the bike. A very young mother wearing extremely short denim shorts just went by playfully marching with her son. She had a genuine smile on her face. A number of people walking by take notice of the gaijin (me) sitting on a cement block writing in a notebook, but most just look ahead with horseblinds. One old lady carrying an umbrella (in this weather?) looked for quite awhile.
