Hisashiburi

For those unaware, hisashiburi is Japanese for "Long time no..." fill in the blank. In this case, long time no blog entry.
As I have recently moved to Nanba and do not have at-home internet access, I am only going to be writing in here sporadically. When I do it will probably be my observations and/or any other thoughts or questions I have been going through.
Since I have about a million, I think I'll just contribute a recent observation entry and call it a day today. Here it goes:

It's a beautiful day for Feburary. The sun is giving enough warmth to counter the considerably cool air/breeze and the sky is completely clear. My hands feel toasty, like someone just ocvered them with their own hands. I have a thin, jet black down jacket that I have opened up and am tempted to take off because it's stifling. I'm just in front of the Apple store and there's an older lady with gorgeous hair but a bit of a baboon-looking face holding flyers which I have not yet seen her attempt to pass out. I read an article in a poker magazine talking about how, if you become proficient enough, you can tell a whole story about a person just based on their expressions, gestures and body language. I'd like to try that some time. It's also interesting to be observed by others while observing. I would like to do this more consistently. Maybe for more than five minutes, too (it's been 7 already).

a youthful nomad, occasionally assisting the locals in their quest for second language acquisition, often pondering trivial metaphysical questions, reading books, discussing things of no importance, going on adventures and playing a lot of poker.
