Ugh

Well, I did a bit of looking into a couple sites that I planned on writing for which, in retrospect, is something I should have done before joining and contributing.

I'll just put it this way:  pay-per-click sites asking you to write for them seem fishy.  I read very few reports of anyone actually making any kind of decent money off them, and those few who did were on there for years and wrote literally thousands of articles.  Most of the sites retain sole rights to your work and do with them as they please with no compensation for you.

All in all, I'm not pleased.  At least it got me back into writing, and at least I discovered this early.

But I guess the two most frustrating things are: where do I go to be treated decently for my content and what do I do with all the content I had planned to post?

I suppose I could post them on my own blog.  But the majority of the stuff I was planning to write has nothing to do with the blogs I currently have.  Do I start a new blog?  Do I not worry about the fact that it's off topic?  Do I hold off on posting?

I suppose I could post them on someone else's blog or website or platform.  But how do I go about doing that?

I just want to write, but it seems there's so many ways to be deceived or scammed or, in the very least, not given a fair shake.

On top of that, I'm still low on work.

Nothing to do but move forward, I guess.
