I'm a bit late this week, but it's about that time for a new step.
Let's recap. So far, we've got:
-Smiling for one minute. Spread your cheeks wide and smile. Why? For no reason at all. To force your body to get into that happy mood. To be happy about nothing... or maybe, everything!
-Reading or listening to something inspiring every day. I particularly enjoy this one. I've read quite a few moving stories thus far.
-Doing or listening to something positive every day. This has mainly been music, but speeches and quotes are good, too.
My latest one, starting today, is this: To quietly observe my surroundings for five minutes every day. I take note of the mood, people's interactions with each other, body language... things that you don't notice when you're busy off in your head somewhere, or droning out your environment with headphones or video games. I'm going to start paying attention to the world again. Hope you decide to do the same. I'll post my observations later.
