Hello out there. I have no idea who will be reading this blog, but whomever you may be, I thank you.
Happy New Year. What better way to start it than by jumping on the band wagon and creating probably the 2 billionth blog in existence. For posterity's sake of course. Assuming by the time my descendants garner enough interest to actually search for this blog, and assuming the can actually find it amidst the overwrought jungle that is the internet. Coining the adage "like a needle in a haystack" seems a little overly optimistic.
No, usually I'm not this sardonic, especially not with a bunch of strangers. I actually do have a number of projects I'm working on and I think this site may come in handy as a central hub towards all of them. I suppose that's generally what I'm going to be using this blog for:
1. Connecting all the little projects I have together.
2. Updating everybody about those projects and any other things of interest in my life.
3. Rambling where the rambling would be inappropriate in other locations.
Those upcoming projects and blogs, in any case anyone is interested, are going to be related to writing (particularly short stories and poetry), movies, poker, the Japanese language, investments (and other ways to make money without wearing a suit and tie), philosophy (only in the most base sense of the word; don't expect me to argue about Kant; think Jack Canfield over Bertrand Russell) and maybe psychology.
I really have nothing else to say for now, except that I am, in reality, a dashing, slightly chauvinistic but charming man, highly intellectual, very self-assured and with a wicked grin. Envision Daniel Craig as James Bond, without all the muscle (but I plan to work on that). I have lots of dreams and hopes, and will be extraordinarily pleased if even one comes to fruition. Good luck to me, and to all of us. Or as I prefer to say (since I don't believe in luck), 頑張れ.
Well said, a wonderful start to the 2 billionth blog in existence.
